Walworth Academy

Walworth Academy opened in 2007. The academy serves children of all abilities and has no religious affiliations. It has six forms of entry (180 students in each year) and will open a sixth form as soon as the new buildings are completed, so that Walworth students will have the opportunity to continue their studies to age 18.

We believe in the potential of each of our students and we are committed to giving them every possible opportunity to succeed.  Every student should leave the academy with real choices: to continue into further and higher education or pursue the career of their choice. Our academy is shaped by a culture of inclusion and mutual respect, which encourages a close working relationship between students and staff.  We provide an inspirational and secure environment which recognises and celebrates success while challenging students to realise their full potential.

Walworth Academy replaced its predecessor Walworth School in September 2007.  The academy opened in the existing Lower School and Upper School buildings, but these buildings will be completely replaced with brand new buildings, all on the Upper School site, in 2009.
